Our School Environment

Our school environment is created solely for the young children. Every single thing is made with the child in mind. We have created wholesome outdoor and indoor ambiences to allow the children to sense and feel the objects and develop an understanding of basic learning skills as well as many practical life skills. Happy childhood preschool accepts children from age 18 months to 6 years.

The programme is packed with many outdoor and indoor activities and games. The programme will introduce young children to many learning concepts, while also being a lot of fun. The programme is designed to help children develop multiple intelligences.

Day care Programme

Happy childhood preschool offers an extended day care programme before and after school to all students. Parents may drop their child off at school at 8:00AM in the morning and they may also use our day care programme services after school until 8:00PM.

Age: From 1 year to 9 years.

Happy childhood preschool provides an educational program of excellence based upon a well-researched and structured curriculum integrating Montessori Methodology, Howard Gardener’s Multiple Intelligence, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and John Dewey’s Thematic Approach, focusing primarily on the fundamental law of self construction. We work with proven Montessori methodology, allowing children freedom of choice, exploration and discovery. Utilizing the time-tested Montessori principles engenders self-esteem, independence and a sense of responsibility. The whole framework of our programme not only aims at the relevant development of the child, but also in giving meaningful experiences that provides strong foundation to the child in enjoying the process of learning. All the activities here have been aligned as an intelligent play and serves to synergize child’s thoughts and affinities brilliantly. This helps the child to develop a mental coherence which surely serves to make him /her a better and shining student in academics.

Integration of Montessori Method

Montessori is a method of education developed by a Italian educationist Dr.Maria Montessori and is based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play. We follow authentic Montessori Method in our curriculum and we use all the pure Montessori materials developed by Dr. Maria Montessori to develop the following skills in the children:

Integration of Multiple Intelligence

We all have some skills that come more naturally than others. For some of us speaking & writing comes with ease, while some of us are great at socializing with different kinds of people and for some of us we have flair at numbers and resolving problems. Each of us have our own unique strength and abilities. It’s the same with children too. Every child has his own strengths. These strengths can be used to harness the potential of child.

Integration of Blooms Taxonomy & Theme based approach

“Bloom’s Taxonomy” is one of those terms that play a vital role in designing the curriculum and an important tool used by teachers for day-to-day working and interactions with the child. It is a central concept which works in conjunction with learning activities to help your child expand their critical thinking skills. Critical thinking skills allow a child to thinking independently, solve problems, evaluate alternatives, and reflect on their own beliefs.

Theme Based Approach

Thematic approach is a way of teaching and learning, whereby many areas of the curriculum are connected together and integrated within a theme. Using themes while working with young children has been popular since John Dewey, an American philosopher, psychologist and educational reformer first proposed that curriculum should be related to real-life experiences.

Importance of Play ?

Our school environment is specifically designed to introduce children to different concepts and activities through play to aid overall development of the child. At our school all children will have one-hour playtime. We have created many structured, stimulating play areas- Sand play, Water world, DIY corner, Pit Stop, Sports Zone, Ball room and many more. Each day of the week, children are engaged in different play.
